Chromatic Thermochromic Pigment for Plastics and Temperature Sensitive thermochromic Inks.

Chromazone® Thermochromic Pigment for Plastics and Temperature Sensitive thermochromic Inks consist of microencapsulated thermochromic pigments which changes from colour to colourless as the temperature rises. With decreasing temperature the colour returns. The pigment is encapsulated in aqueous conditions and the resultant pigment is in slurry form.

The Thermochromic effect is a highly effective route to product promotion and differentiation. As well as being used as a marketing tool, it can be used for a wide variety of functional applications including safety and security. The uses are limited only by the imagination.

It is available in Dispersion form for water based ink systems, Powder form for non water based ink systems, Thermochromic Pigment for Plastics and Temperature Sensitive thermochromic Inks.

CHROMAZONE® DISPERSION

ChromaZone® Thermochromic Dispersions are formulated for use in aqueous ink and coating systems that change from colour to colourless as temperature rises, with the colour reappearing when the temperature is reduced again.

Inks based on ChromaZone can be applied to print on products such as labels, publications, packaging and textiles. ChromaZone can also be formulated into coatings for application on many surfaces such as plastics, ceramics, glassware and metal.

ChromaZone® Free Flowing Thermochromic Powders are formulated for use in non-aqueous ink and coating systems that change from colour to colourless as temperature rises, with the colour reappearing when the temperature is reduced again.

THERMOBATCH® PIGMENT FOR PLASTICS

Thermobatch® is a range of temperature sensitive thermochromic monobatches which change from coloured to colourless as the temperature rises. The colour reappears when the temperature is reduced again.

Thermobatch is supplied in Powder Concentrate form or as a finished pellet form and is ideally suited for use in Polyolefins, PS, PVC and ABS.

Colour changing effects can be varied infinitely by blending Thermobatch with other transulcent or opaque masterbatches.

APPLICATIONS

The thermochromic effect achieved by the use of Thermobatch enhances the value of plastic products as well as being a highly attractive eye catcher.

THERMOSTAR® INKS

Thermostar® is a line of eye-catching temperature sensitive (thermochromic) finished inks. Thermostar is formulated using ChromaZone pigments and utilises TMC's latest printing ink techniques.

The ink colour on a printed item disappears as the temperature rises above the response temperature of the thermochromic ink and then it reverses back to its original colour as the temperature is reduced again (below the response temperature).
